How Thiup works

No accounts, no profiles, no feeds designed to hook you. This is what's underneath, in plain words.

Masks: who you are here

When you open Thiup you get a mask: a pseudonymous identity derived automatically from your connection. It shows up as a short @id and a small generated avatar — the same thread-and-dot motif as our logo, drawn from your mask, so it's yours without being you.

We never ask for your name, email, phone number or a password. There is no account to create, so there is nothing to hack, nothing to sell and nothing to leak.

Threads, replies and reactions

Conversation happens in threads: short posts with optional photos or video, tags to find topics, nested replies, and six simple reactions. Anyone can start one, and every voice in it is a mask like yours.

Two feeds, no dark patterns

“For you” ranks threads by real conversation — how many distinct people react and reply — never by ad value or outrage. “Close you” shows what's being said around you using a deliberately blurred area you opt into; your precise location never leaves your device and is never stored.

Real people, no bots

Every thread, reply and reaction on Thiup comes from a real person. There are no bots, no fake engagement, no ads and no algorithmic amplification for profit — just people talking.

The best way to understand it is to try it.
